I began creating terrariums during the early days of the COVID pandemic in 2020. Like many people during that time, I was searching for something grounding and creative. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion. In my first year alone, I built 63 different terrariums, experimenting with plants, containers, and the delicate balance required to create thriving miniature ecosystems.

Wanting to share this new fascination with others, I brought fifteen of my terrariums to the Secaucus Public Library and displayed them in a glass exhibit case. The response from the community was immediate and enthusiastic. People were amazed that such vibrant ecosystems could exist inside simple glass containers.

That small library exhibit became the beginning of something much larger. Since then, I have displayed terrariums in more than 43 public spaces and introduced hundreds of people to the art and science of building their own living ecosystems.

In 2025, I expanded the vision by opening a 1,000-square-foot studio dedicated to terrarium workshops and exhibits. Today the studio serves as a creative space where visitors can experience the craft firsthand, learn the techniques behind self-sustaining environments, and discover the joy of bringing a small piece of nature indoors.

What began as a personal project has grown into a mission: sharing the beauty, creativity, and wonder of terrariums with communities everywhere.

My goal is to bring terrarium exhibits and hands-on workshops to libraries and communities across the region so more people can experience the calm, creativity, and wonder of these miniature worlds.
